About me.

I'm an Australian student and emerging filmmaker with a deep passion for visual storytelling, art, and history. I began creating short films at the age of nine after receiving my first iPad, and since then, I’ve taught myself to edit using Adobe Premiere Pro, LumaFusion, and iMovie. My films have received awards and recognition for their originality, creativity, and polished execution.

I’ve gained hands-on industry experience, working as a Production Assistant on a number of short films and completing work experience placements with Maselli Films, the ABC, and Broken Yellow. These roles have allowed me to support professional film crews, manage equipment and on-set logistics, and gain valuable insights into all stages of the production process, from development through to post-production.

In 2023, I joined the Young Actor’s Assembly, Sydney’s leading screen acting and filmmaking program. While I enjoy performing, I find my greatest inspiration behind the camera, collaborating with directors and production teams to bring stories to life. As part of the program, I’ve contributed to the creation and filming of several short films, which were showcased at a gala event at the Chauvel Cinema in Paddington.

While studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at school, I regularly lead creative projects, from animated shorts and radio plays to drama pieces, drawing on my skills as a director, editor, and artist. I love the entire filmmaking process, especially working with others to craft meaningful, entertaining, and visually engaging stories. I’m also fluent in French, which enriches both my academic and creative pursuits. Above all, I love having fun while creating work that I’m proud of.

Over the ten years of running my film festival, SF3, Amélie is hands down one of the most talented filmmakers, writers, and actors I have ever seen on the big screen.

Her work is always a standout, and this is evident in the numerous awards over the years that my judging panel have awarded her.

Her films are superbly written, always mature beyond her years and diverse in genre, story, and approach, completely showcasing her talent as an artist. So much so, that I had Amélie work with me at SF3 in 2024 to edit social videos for our channels. She was wonderful to work with: she produced beautiful content, edited smartly for our audience, and was (and is) so lovely to work with.

I cannot say enough good things about Amélie as a person and as an artist, and I can’t wait to see where her career takes her.

I have had the pleasure of working closely with Amelie during her time assisting Maselli Films on our award-winning film Ocean is She, funded by Randwick City Council, and the Women in Water showcase shorts funded by Screenrights Cultural Grant. Amelie played an invaluable role in both the pre-production and production phases.

Amelie’s contributions to the film projects demonstrated her remarkable versatility and dedication. In pre-production, she assisted with casting and rehearsals, showcasing not only her organisational skills but also her keen eye for talent. On set, Amelie excelled in various crew roles, primarily as my Production Assistant ,but including working as a clapper and sound technician, seamlessly navigating the fast-paced environment. Her technical skills were complemented by her natural ability to adapt and thrive in different aspects of production, making her a key asset to the team.

In addition to his behind-the-scenes work, Amelie also showcased her talent as an actor during the shoot. Her flexibility in moving between roles – from crew member to performer – underscores her broad skill set and deep passion for the industry.

Amelie has continued to assist me with casting sessions for various commercials at The Audition Room (formerly Fox Studios, i4 Casting) and practical training for actors and cinematographers, further demonstrating her commitment to learning and growing in the field. Her ongoing involvement in the industry speaks to her dedication and passion.

I have no doubt that she will bring both creativity and professionalism to the program, and I am confident that she will continue to excel in all future endeavours within the industry.
